Randomised Double-Blind Trial of Prednisone vs. Radiotherapy in Graves'Ophthalmopathy Lancet 342:949-954, Prummel,M.F.,et al, 1993 See this aricle in Pubmed Article Abstract Radiotherapy and oral prednisone appear to be equally effective as initial treatment in patients with moderately severe Graves'ophthalmopathy.In view of its better tolerability,radiotherapy should be considered the treatment of first choice.
